Avalon Alderwood Phase I
2706 164th St SW, Lynnwood, WA

Avalon Alderwood is an apartment project located on the southeast corner of 164th St SW & Alderwood Mall Parkway, being developed by AvalonBay Communities. The project description from Snohomish County states:

“The project consists of 491 multifamily units in 10 buildings, ranging from three to six stories tall, to be constructed in two phases (367 units in phase 1 and 124 units in phase 2). A fitness center with swimming pool for residents, club house/leasing offices and detached parking garage buildings are also proposed. The site is comprised of 18.7 acres and is zoned UC (Urban Center). The project will be constructed in two phases.”

Multiple bus routes serve the area, including peak-only Routes 413, 415, and 880 to Seattle.

Planning on moving into one of the many apartments being built in the area, but you have too much stuff? Store it here! This is a recently completed mini-storage facility south of 164th St SW, and south of the nearby apartment developments. There are solar panels on the building’s roof.

Total Outdoor Digital Billboard
Ash Way & 20th Ave W

Stuck in traffic? Good news! There’s a recently installed digital billboard that randomly cycles through several advertisements so you won’t get bored!

This probably doesn’t fall under the definition of development, but as far as I know it is one of only three digital billboards in this part of Snohomish County, or even this part of the Seattle area. This digital billboard (and the two others) is 12 feet tall and 48 feet wide, and is owned by Total Outdoor, which owns numerous billboards in the Seattle area including two 20′ x 60′ digital billboards in Pierce County.

The billboard is located west of the intersection of Ash Way & 20th Ave W, south of 164th St SW. The billboard faces northeast and was formerly a static billboard.

Looking west, a static billboard also owned by Total Outdoor is visible to the right, along 164th St SW.

The billboard is visible to drivers traveling west on 164th St SW.
