Lynnview Apartments
5821/5823 200th Street SW, Lynnwood, WA
Lynnview Apartments is a two-building apartment complex first built in 1969, with 5821 located next to 200th St SW and 5823 located to the north. The 33-unit 5823 was destroyed by a fire on August 9, 2010. Its age, all-wood construction, lack of sprinklers, and lack of firewalls are cited as factors in the building’s fire, since the complex was built before stricter fire codes were enacted.
This project includes constructing a 4-story with basement 36-unit apartment building at 5823, with 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units. 5821 will remain.

On July 2, 2014, construction began on Phase I of the project, which includes a Costco and a new 33rd Avenue W. The mixed-use Phase II will begin later.
